Abstract

["Business Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView. ", "\nABSTRACT\nSustainable supply chain management is a vital area of study, especially in regions facing economic and environmental challenges. This has created a research gap in effectively addressing the unique factors and obstacles in these areas. Further research is essential, as it can lead to the development of comprehensive frameworks that enhance sustainability in the supply chain. The current paper explores integrating sustainability practices with supply chain management within the context of carbon trading in the UAE, utilizing a new multicriteria decision‐making (MCDM) model, including Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Best–Worst Method (BWM), and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to the Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). The hybrid framework accounts for complex interconnections and prioritizes actions in a dynamic, resource‐constrained regional environment. This approach aligns with the socioeconomic and environmental issues prevalent in the UAE. The findings highlight that the application of Decarbonizing Transportation and Dynamic, Flexible Supply Chain Models is essential for UAE industries to achieve sustainability goals.\n"]
