Abstract

["British Journal of Industrial Relations, EarlyView. ", "\nABSTRACT\nWe explore female representation in industrial relations research and its effects on three objective measures of research quality: statistical significance, excess statistical significance and citations. We assess 24,168 test statistics reported by 4231 authors in 85 distinct industrial relations research areas. The gender composition of research teams has changed over time with greater representation of females, researchers from non‐elite universities and from Western countries. Female‐authored research tends to be less biased, less exaggerated and more highly cited, on average.\n"]
