", "\nABSTRACT\nFaith‐based organisations (FBOs) are recognised by the development community as key organisations and partners in development cooperation. Yet commitments to secularism underlying international development cooperation in policy and practice have—to a certain extent—restricted theoretical and empirical study of the involvement and contribution of FBOs in development cooperation in general and development education in particular. With this paper, we aim to widen our conceptual approach to the role of religion in international development education by engaging a theory of non‐Western secularism. With this theoretical development, we analyse an exploratory case study of the Presentation congregation and its global advocacy mission, the International Presentation Association, as a space to consider the role of FBOs in international development education through the lens of non‐Western secularism.\n"]
