", "\nABSTRACT\nChanging the agrifood system is necessary to achieve the global Sustainable Development Goals and close the gap between urban and rural areas. Conventional monocentric growth models frequently emphasize the urban core to the detriment of rural hinterlands. This article surveys how regional polycentricity and multi‐dimensional connection facilitate the inclusive transformation of rural areas. We offer a thorough synthesis of multidisciplinary research that connects spatial configuration, physical transport connectivity, specifically high‐speed rail, and inclusive digital infrastructure. We emphasize the synergistic mechanisms by which physical and digital connectivity enable smallholders to be incorporated into restructured global value chains and empower underprivileged communities. We critically assess the impact of digitalization in improving green agricultural output and climate resilience, acknowledging the nonlinear dynamics of the adoption of technology across various geographical contexts. This article gathers evidence on sustainable and resilient agrifood systems and proposes a future research agenda focused on smart territorial linkages and the effects of global environmental shocks on systems. These results confirm that an inclusive agrifood revolution requires the careful planning of regional space and investments in physical and digital infrastructure, if social equality and environmental sustainability is to endure.\n"]
