Phillip BorellAuthor biographyPhillip Borell is a member of the Ngāti Ranginui iwi , and affiliates to the Pirirākau hapū , Phillip is a lecturer in Aotahi, School of Māori and Indigenous Studies at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, He has been researching rugby league for the last decade and has recently broadened his sporting research to include the emerging discourse of indigenous masculinities, His research interests have also led to him teaching into the Sport Coaching programme at the University of Canterbury
